The Lakes Comedy Festival will feature headline appearances from the likes of Lucy Porter and Jon Richardson.

LAKE DISTRICT, ENGLAND, June 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Some of the top stand-up acts in the UK will be heading to the north-west for next month's Lakes Comedy Festival.
 
The two-week extravaganza is based in Keswick but takes place at venues across the northern part of the Lake District, with performances scheduled to run from Friday July 1st to Saturday July 16th.
 
Headliner acts at this year's festival include Lucy Porter, Jon Richardson, Seymour Mace, Simon Donald and James Redmond.
 
Porter, who will appear at the Alhambra in Keswick on Saturday July 2nd, may be familiar to comedy fans as a regular guest on panel shows such as Mock the Week and Argumental.
 
Also due to perform at the Keswick venue, Richardson is a rising star of the comedy world who has already enjoyed a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and appeared on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.
 
He will be on stage at the Alhambra on Friday July 8th.
 
Tickets for both the Porter and Richardson shows are available online, priced at GBP13.
