US punk rockers The Offspring are due to play two shows in the French capital.

PARIS, FRANCE, July 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Offspring will bring their vintage punk rock sound to the Zenith de Paris later this summer.

Fans of the California-based four-piece have a chance to see them perform in the French capital on Wednesday August 31st and Thursday September 1st.

Known for hits such as Self Esteem and Pretty Fly (For a White Guy), the band have recently been holed up in the studio working on their forthcoming new album.

Due out in late 2011 or early 2012, the record will be their ninth studio LP and their first since 2008's Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.

In April this year, vocalist Dexter Holland used the band's official podcast to give fans an update on the recording process.

He said the group had completed "12 or 13" songs and claimed the album will be "the best damn record we ever did".

The two shows in Paris could be used by the band to debut new material, as well as perform older tracks like All I Want, Why Don't You Get a Job? and Come Out and Play.

Tickets for the concerts are available online, priced at EUR49.40 (GBP43.30) plus booking fee.

Fans planning a stay in Paris hotels will find a range of accommodation at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Hotel Bastille Paris.
